What’s happening?
When attempting to post a Fixed Asset from a Project, a posting error occurs due to transaction and accounting currency mismatches.
Reason:
This arises from the cost template lines for hours having remaining categories that were not properly selected, leading to errors during revenue recognition elimination.
Resolution:
- Navigate to the cost template settings:
- Go to Project management and accounting > Setup > Estimates > Cost template > Cost lines > Categories.
- Move the remaining categories into the Selected categories for the Hour cost template line.
- After updating the categories, create and re-run the revenue recognition process.
- Verify that the elimination passes successfully after the adjustments.
- Ensure that all transactions recognized by revenue recognition belong to the correctly added categories.
