What’s happening?
The customer has initiated a copy of their Business Central environment into a sandbox environment but failed without receiving any error message or log.


 Reason:
This is caused by installed extensions that interfere with the copy process. The error message is hidden due to a separate bug, making it difficult to identify the specific problem.


Resolution:

  1. Uninstall all custom extensions before attempting the copy.
  2. Disable the master data sync job if enabled.
  3. Open a new session in Business Central.
  4. Attempt to perform the copy again.
    1. If the failure occurs, provide the error details and note down the session IDs from the "Help and Support" section under "Report a problem."
  5. Reinstall the extensions after the copy is successfully completed.
  6. Set up a retention policy to clean up tables like "Integration Synch. Job Errors" to prevent future copy issues.
