What’s happening?
How to remove stale permission sets from all users in Dynamics 365 Business Central. Currently, the client has to manually remove the permission sets from each user card, which is a time-consuming process. There is no available report or administration page that allows for the bulk removal of specific permission sets for all users at once.

Reason:
This arises from the introduction of a new security feature in Business Central, which has resulted in user data being moved to the Users card page. Consequently, several permission sets that were previously removed by the system have been reassigned to most relevant users.

Resolution:
To manage permission sets for all users or specific users, follow these steps: 1. Navigate to the Permission Set page. 2. Select the feature ‘Permission Set by User’. 3. You can manage the permission set for all users or any specific user easily. 4. To remove a permission set for all users, double-click ‘All Users’ to remove the selected permission set for all users.
If the permission sets still appear on the User card page but do not exist in the system, or if they have been reassigned, further investigation may be required. Please check the Effective Permission page to see if any permissions are still granted from the highlighted permission sets. If issues persist, consider updating the user from the M365 environment.
