What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error stating "No. Printed must have a value in Posted Header: No.=BD00055" when attempting to post bank deposits. The error indicates that the number printed cannot be zero or empty.
 

Reason:
This arises from Business Central’s validation process, which may not be triggered correctly due to the an extension. The error does not occur in the sandbox environment, suggesting that the problem may be linked to the production environment settings or extensions.
 

Resolution:

  • Verify if an extension is present in the production environment where the error occurs.
  • Test the posting process without the extension to determine if it resolves the issue.
  • If the error persists, inspect the bank deposit page by clicking on the question mark icon beside the settings icon, then navigate to the help and support page, and click on inspect pages and extension.
  • Collect detailed information about the entries, including:
    • The Applies-to ID, ensuring it is set correctly.
    • The value of "Amount to Apply" is not zero.
