What’s happening?
No scrap percentage greater than 100 can be specified for Production BOM components. This limitation affects industries such as wood processing, where scrap rates can exceed 100%, leading to improper material planning.
Reason:
The system is designed to maintain the scrap percentage at or below 100%. Enabling it to exceed this limit would require a new feature request and further input from the partner community.
Resolution:
- Consult with internal experts regarding the need for the scrap percentage field to exceed 100%.
- Report the issue on the Yammer community to gather insights and ideas from global partners.
- Submit a new idea on the BC Idea Platform; if it receives enough votes, it may be prioritized for development in a future release.
- Follow up with the customer to keep them informed about the progress and any potential solutions.
