What’s happening?
Experiencing issues where the system is selecting partial still-it orders instead of the full quantity of the sales order line.

Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the configuration of the "Qty to Ship" field and the "Reserved Quantity" settings. The system prioritizes Reserved Quantities, which means it will not allocate any quantity from the inventory until the Reserved Quantity has been fully utilized. The "Qty to Ship" field determines how many items are intended to be shipped, and if this is set to a partial number, it will only ship that quantity.

Resolution:

  • Ensure that the "Qty to Ship" field is set to the desired partial quantity you wish to ship. This field informs the system how many items you want to ship out in that sales order.
  • Understand that the Reserved Quantity is used to hold inventory on the order, preventing other documents from using that quantity. It does not limit the quantity going to the pick.
  • If the filter is set to "Full," the system will not call in partial lines. To include partial lines, set the filter to "Full & Partial."
  • After posting the shipment, verify that the Reserved Quantity has been cleared from the sales order, reflecting the shipped quantity.
  • If issues persist, consider reviewing the location settings and ensuring that the "Require Shipment" option is configured correctly, as this may affect the inventory pick process.
If further assistance is needed, a follow-up call with the support team may be beneficial to address specific configuration settings.
