What’s happening?
Customers experience discrepancies between the Actual Quantity, Expected Quantity, and Remaining Quantity fields in sales orders and production orders, particularly when the quantity per component is set in decimal places.
Reason:
The root cause of this is suspected to be related to the rounding precision settings in the system. When the replenishment is configured with a rounding precision of 1, any decimal quantity entered is rounded to the nearest whole number, leading to inaccuracies in the Expected and Remaining Quantity fields.
Resolution:
- To address this, adjust the "Rounding Precision" setting to allow for decimal numbers. This will enable the system to accurately reflect the Actual Quantity in the Expected and Remaining Quantity fields.
- After updating the "Rounding Precision" field, refresh the production orders or sales orders to ensure the changes take effect.
- It is recommended to test these changes in a test environment before applying them to the live system to avoid any disruptions.
