What’s happening?
Customers are unable to see their Production environment or other environments in the dropdown list within the Power Platform Pipeline.
Reason:
The most common reasons for environments not appearing include:
- The production environment may not be configured as a Managed Environment.
- Missing role assignments for the user attempting to access the environments.
- The user may not have the necessary permissions to view or manage the environments.
Resolution:
- Verify Environment Configuration: Ensure that the production environment is correctly configured as a Managed Environment. All target environments used in a pipeline must be enabled as Managed Environments.
- Check Role Assignments: Compare the roles assigned to the user who can see the environments with those assigned to the affected user. Ensure that the affected user has the necessary security roles to access the environments.
- Review Pipeline Configuration: Ensure that the pipeline is properly configured and that the production environment is correctly linked as a target environment. Review the pipeline settings to confirm that the environment types are correctly assigned.
- Verify Permissions: Confirm that the user has the necessary permissions to access and manage the production environment. If there are errors indicating that the environment could not be found, it may be due to insufficient permissions or the environment being deleted.
- Recreate Environment Records: If there have been recent changes to the default pipelines host, it may be necessary to recreate environment records and pipeline records within the new host to enable users to continue using pipelines.
