What’s happening?

The customer is facing issues related to the expiration of the Dynamics 365 Sales trial license and the deletion of the trial environment.


Reason:
The trial environment can be created and used for 30 days, with a one-time extension of 30 days from the expiration date. The trial license ended, and the trial instance was deleted after the expiration date.


Resolution:

  1. The expiration date of the trial environment is critical; it was noted that the trial environment expired on a specific date.
  2. The expiration of the trial license affects only the sales trial license and the trial environment; other licenses in the tenant remain unaffected.
  3. As a global admin, deleted environment details can be viewed within 7 days of deletion in the Power Platform Admin Center under Environments > Recently Deleted Environments.
  4. To restore a deleted environment, it must be done within 7 days of deletion from the Recently Deleted Environments section in the Power Platform Admin Center. If the environment is past the 7 days limit, it cannot be restored.
