What’s happening?
Invoice proposals are not appearing in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) from Project Operations. The project invoices are posting from CRM, and while data is visible at the table level, transactions are not displaying at the form level.
Reason:
This appears to be related to configuration problems with the categories. Specifically, the Unbilled Actual is being recorded with a Transaction Classification of Expense and the FEE Transaction Category. The system is unable to find a configured record for the Expense transaction in the ProjTransactionCategorySharedCategory, as the relevant categories are not set up correctly.
Resolution:
The customer needs to create the necessary categories to allow Expense transactions to utilize the Transaction Category from Project management and accounting> Setup> Categories> Transaction categories. Search the category and confirm that there are shared category for every transaction type:
