What’s happening?
Users are encountering an issue with the General Journal Batch Workflow that allows modifications to the journal lines after the user has sent an approval request.
Reason:
The behavior of allowing modifications after sending for approval is by design.
More Information:
- Modifications can be made after sending for approval, but they will not be able to post the journal line once modifications are complete, as it will have an approval status of "Imposed Restriction." If they attempt to post, they will encounter an error message preventing the action.
- If further restrictions on modifications are required, users can create a request for this feature to be changed by visiting the Microsoft Ideas site and submitting a Product Feature request. If the idea receives enough votes, Microsoft may consider implementing it.
