What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with the automatic deletion of environments that have not been used for over 90 days. There are concerns regarding the timing and effectiveness of this deletion process, as well as the potential for environments to be restored automatically after deletion.


Reason:
The underlying cause of this appears to be related to the automatic restoration of deleted environments, which was identified as a bug that has since been fixed. Additionally, there may be confusion regarding the timing of the last activity recorded for these environments.


Resolution:

  • To check the status of the automatic deletion or deactivation of environments, verify the "Last Activity" date for the specific environments in the Power Platform admin center.
  • If multiple environments need to be deleted simultaneously, it is possible to perform this action through the Power Platform admin center UI without using commandlets. This can help reduce the total time required for the deletion process.
