What’s happening?
Some transactions are posted with extra characters in the Serial ID value during the customer sales order process in the Point of Sale (POS) system, causing the P-JOB session to become stuck.


Reason:
This occurs exclusively with serialized items when the delivery mode is set to "Pick up." The discrepancy in the serial number becomes noticeable during the fulfillment process, where the serial ID includes extra characters. The P-JOB gets stuck during the synchronization process, which occurs before the fulfillment process.


Resolution:

  1. Verify if the feature "Enhanced serial number validation in POS order capture and order fulfillment" is enabled in the environment.
