What’s happening?
The customer requires the ability to disable the info code input during certain exception scenarios when applying manual discounts in a point of sale (POS) system.
Reason:
The current design of the system does not allow for the info code input step to be skipped entirely due to internal class constraints related to the RequiredReasonCodesCalculator.
Resolution:
- The easiest way to disable the info code input without customization is to remove the info code group from the manual discount functions in the functionality profile. This configuration has been tested and confirmed to work.
- It is important to note that removing the info code group will also mean that the out-of-the-box manual discount will no longer use a reason code.
