What’s happening?
The category edit page in the site builder displays an error message stating: "Unable to load the preview. Please try again later. If the problem persists, raise a support request." This occurs when attempting to edit any category page after publishing channel updates and pushing a job under the channel database.

Reason:
The error is primarily caused by missing products in the RetailProductEntity, which leads to the inability to load the category preview. Additionally, there may be issues related to user permissions for the catalog/channel being queried, as well as potential misconfigurations in the category hierarchy.

Resolution:

  1. Verify that products are correctly assorted into the right categories and subcategories under the F&O system, within channel categories and product attributes.
  2. Publish the channel updates again after confirming the product assortments.
  3. Run the 9999 job (full data sync) to ensure that all data is synchronized properly.
  4. Check the job status in the Retail IT Distribution schedule to confirm that there are no errors in the job execution logs.
  5. If this persists after performing the above steps, check the user permissions for the catalog/channel being queried and ensure that the user has the necessary access rights.
  6. If applicable, verify the hierarchy settings and ensure that the correct locale is selected for cross-channel when opening the page.
