What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties in identifying which users created specific agents within their tenant.

Reason:
The underlying cause is related to the limitations in the audit logs of Microsoft Purview, which only display a subset of agents created, making it challenging to track all user activities regarding agent creation.

Resolution:
It's possible to check who is the owner of a specific agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio. However, this might not always correspond to the user that created the agent. To see who created the agent, makers can check this information in Power Apps or in Microsoft Purview.
In Power Apps:

  1. Navigate to Power Apps maker portal.
  2. In the left menu, select "Tables" and use the search box in the upper right corner to search for "chatbot."
  3. One of the table columns is "Created By" which corresponds to the user name that created a specific agent:

In Microsoft Purview:
  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal as a tenant admin.
  2. In the left menu, select Show all.
  3. Under Solutions, select Audit.
  4. Check for the Bot Creation activity, as explained in our public documentation
