What’s happening?

  1. Customers are facing errors while attempting to connect their domain from Google Domain to their existing site, specifically related to DNS record settings.
  2. Customers report that after updating their SSL certificate, the new certificate details are not reflecting correctly on the site, leading to confusion regarding the certificate's validity and configuration.

Reason:

  1. This with connecting the domain may stem from incorrect DNS record settings or conflicts with existing configurations.
  2. The mismatch in SSL certificate details is likely due to the portal being enabled for AFD (Azure Front Door) managed certificates, which auto-rotate and may conflict with manually uploaded certificates.

Resolution:

  1. For connecting the domain:
  2. Ensure that the DNS records are correctly configured as per the requirements for connecting the domain to the site.
  3. Verify that the domain is properly added in the site settings and that there are no existing conflicts with other domains or records.
  4. For SSL certificate issues:
  5. Check if the portal is enabled for AFD managed certificates by accessing the Azure portal and reviewing the settings under CDN profiles.
  6. If AFD is enabled, understand that the AFD managed certificate will conflict with any custom certificates uploaded (BYOC). In this case, consider disabling the AFD function and re-uploading the custom certificate.
  7. If the issue persists, delete all current and old certificates from the Power Pages and upload the new certificate again to see if the correct details are displayed.
  8.
