What’s happening?
Guest system admins are unable to create data imports in the environment, receiving an error message stating: "Unable to create import: Only members of the home tenant can create, edit, import, and delete imports."
Reason:
This is due to a known product limitation where users with guest accounts cannot import data and can only view data within their tenant.
Resolution:
- It is recommended to create accounts for the service provider within the home tenant and assign them the necessary roles. This allows them to perform the required actions without encountering the restriction.
- You need the required access within your tenant to initiate data import within Sustainability Manager. For more information about user roles in Sustainability Manager, go to Set up user roles and access management.
- Alternatively, a member of the home tenant can perform the data imports on behalf of the guest users. The guest users can prepare the data and provide it to the home tenant member for import.
