What’s happening?
Users are unable to create or edit a Bookable Resource (calendar) in Project Online, receiving a read-only error when attempting to make changes.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to insufficient permissions for the users attempting to edit the Bookable Resource.
Resolution:
- Check Permissions: Ensure that the users have the necessary permissions to edit the Bookable Resource calendar. They should have at least the "Edit" permission on the calendar.
- Update Permissions: If users do not have the required permissions, update their role to "System Customizer" in the Power Platform Admin Center. This can be done by:
- Navigating to the Power Platform Admin Center.
- Selecting the appropriate environment.
- Going to the "Users" section and clicking on "All Users."
- Selecting the user needing permission changes.
- Clicking on "Manage Roles" and selecting the "System Customizer" role.
- Saving the changes.
- Clear Cache and Cookies: Instruct users to clear their browser cache and cookies, then attempt to access the Bookable Resource again.
- Use a Different Browser: If the issue persists, suggest trying a different browser, as some users have reported success by switching from Edge to Chrome.
- Update Project Online: Ensure that Project Online is up to date, as updates can resolve bugs and issues.
