What’s happening?
Users are unable to automatically refresh the Power App canvas application after a new version is published, requiring manual refresh to access the latest version, which leads to discrepancies in application behavior.
Reason:
The expected behavior of the application does not include an automatic refresh feature after publishing a new version. Users are informed through a notification prompt that a new version is available, but they must manually refresh the application to see the updates.
Resolution:
- Inform users that there is currently no functionality to automatically refresh the canvas app after a new version is published.
- Notify users that they will receive a banner indicating "A new version of this app is being published" during the publishing process, and once completed, they will see a banner stating "A new version of this app is available" prompting them to refresh the app.
- Clarify that even if sessions are timed, users will still need to refresh the app to view the latest published version.
