What’s happening?
The default preference center link is not functioning correctly when sending emails. When users click on the "Unsubscribe" button, an error message stating "something went wrong" is displayed.
Reason:
Each organization maintains specific links to its services, ensuring that external content is accurately submitted to the appropriate destination. Copying and pasting HTML code is strongly discouraged due to the potential for numerous errors that may compromise functionality. The default preference center is highly customized, with only one designated per organization, making relocation inadvisable. The most reliable method to ensure optimal performance is to recreate the data entirely.
Resolution:
- As a workaround, create a new compliance profile to address this with the unsubscribe link.
- It is recommended to avoid copying and pasting HTML code to prevent errors.
- If the issue persists, consider recreating the data associated with the preference center to ensure proper functionality.
