What’s happening?
The web recorder fails to function properly, specifically not recording in browsers such as Chrome and Edge, despite the Power Automate extension being installed.
Reason:
This was identified as a lack of admin privileges on the computer, which prevented the installation of necessary software or extensions.
Resolution:
- Obtain admin privileges from the IT department to install the required software/extensions.
- Check the version of Power Automate to ensure it is up to date.
- In Google Chrome, navigate to Settings > Advanced > System and turn off "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed."
- Reset Chrome and clear the cache.
- Reinstall Power Automate and the extension if necessary.
