What’s happening?
- Unable to select a folder on a SharePoint library when using Power Automate flow to create files.
- Unable to publish SharePoint data to Power Apps.
- Users receiving "Permission denied due to missing runtime policy ACL" error when playing Power Apps applications.
- Reason:
- This is with creating files in a SharePoint library may be related to special characters in the file name that prevent Power Automate from processing the file correctly.
- The inability to publish SharePoint data to Power Apps may stem from the need to replace the data source in an existing app, which requires significant changes.
- The "Permission denied due to missing runtime policy ACL" error indicates a permissions issue related to the runtime policy for the user attempting to access the application.
Resolution:
- For this with creating files in SharePoint, suggest the customer delete any special strings in the file name to allow Power Automate to analyze the file correctly.
- For publishing SharePoint data to Power Apps, guide the customer on how to add the data source to the existing app and inform them that they may need to contact partners for assistance with implementation.
- For the permission error in Power Apps, recommend checking the browser settings to ensure that third-party cookies and local data are enabled. If issues persist, suggest trying different browsers, disabling extensions, or using InPrivate/Incognito mode. Additionally, advise using the App Monitor for debugging and isolating the problem. If this remains unresolved, further investigation into the runtime policy settings may be necessary.
