What’s happening?
The customer encountered an issue when a Power Platform flow was linked to a single user, which restricted recovery during an outage. The flow was functionally running through the owner's account, causing delays in remediation due to the owner's unresponsiveness. The customer requires the flow to be centrally managed through a service account to comply with HIPAA regulations.

Reason:
The underlying cause of this was that the flow was tied to a single user account, which limited access and recovery options during an outage.

Resolution:

  • Transition the ownership of the Power Platform flow from the individual user to a service account to ensure centralized management.
  • Ensure that the service account has the necessary permissions to manage and run the flow effectively.
  • Verify that the new configuration complies with HIPAA regulations by avoiding shared user accounts with elevated access.
