What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing missing data in financial reports, which may be related to issues with the financial reporting database. This can manifest as discrepancies between the standard trial balance and the financial report, or as an empty database after recreating the financial reporting database.

Reason:
The underlying causes for the missing data may include: - A need for a datamart reset after database recreation. - Issues with database memory cache or integration errors. - The financial reporting database being empty due to improper setup or configuration.

Resolution:

  1. For Missing Data in Financial Reports:
  2. Verify if the issue is present in all reports or specific ones. Gather specific report names.
  3. Check if the same results are generated from the report designer.
  4. Confirm the first occurrence of the issue and whether a repro report has been created.
  5. If the issue persists, consider performing a datamart reset, but be aware that this may take time to process.
  6. For Database Recreation Issues:
  7. Ensure that the financial reporting add-in is installed from the Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  8. Follow the documentation for setting up and deploying on-premises environments, ensuring all steps are correctly executed.
  9. After recreating the database, perform a datamart reset as per the guidelines provided in the relevant documentation.
  10. If the database remains empty, check for any integration errors in the event viewer logs and resolve any collation conflicts that may arise.
  11. General Steps:
  12. Review the financial reporting FAQ and troubleshooting guides provided by Microsoft for additional insights.
  13. If issues persist after following the above steps, consider reaching out to technical support for further assistance.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or if specific details are not available, please refer to the documentation or contact support for further guidance.
