What’s happening?
The customer has purchased a subscription for Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 and is inquiring about the possibility of assigning a trial license for Copilot for Sales.


Reason:
The requirement to assign a trial license for Copilot for Sales is contingent upon having the appropriate Dynamics 365 Sales licenses, specifically Dynamics 365 Sales Premium or Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise.


Resolution:

  • As per the Microsoft documentation, it is required to have either a Dynamics 365 Sales Premium or Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise license to assign a trial license for Copilot for Sales.
  • Customers who already have Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses can purchase the Sales Copilot for an additional monthly fee per user.
