What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error when attempting to orchestrate two independent order lines containing the same product. The system returns the message: "Did not fulfill 1 orderlines with the following messages. Determined as unfulfillable by fulfillment algorithm."


Reason:
This is identified as a system limitation that does not support having different lines of the same product with the same dimensions in an order. This behavior has been known for some time, and efforts to mitigate it have not been successful.


Resolution:

  • Confirm that the products in the order lines are identical, including their dimensions. If the dimensions differ, they will have different identifiers.
  • Understand that the fulfillment plan optimization process merges the quantity of the second line with a duplicate product into the first line, resulting in the fulfillment result of the first line containing all the quantities of the same product.
  • If the issue persists, consider discussing with the engineering team for potential workarounds or solutions, as the current behavior is confirmed as a product limitation.
