What’s happening?
Customers are unable to delete a mandatory column in a table or a table itself due to dependency errors.
Reason:
The inability to delete the column or table is caused by the column being marked as mandatory or by existing dependencies associated with the table.
Resolution:
- For deleting a mandatory column:
- Confirm if the column is marked as mandatory. If so, it may need to be altered to a non-mandatory state before deletion.
- If the column cannot be deleted directly, consider checking the table settings or configurations that may allow for the modification of the column's status.
- For deleting a table:
- Access the table from the legacy system.
- Open the dependencies of the table by selecting the option to show dependencies.
- Identify and remove any dependencies that are preventing the deletion of the table.
- After removing the dependencies, attempt to delete the table again, which should now be successful.
