What’s happening?
Users are unable to configure Power Pages sites, specifically encountering a "create a site" option that is grayed out and displays an error message stating "Something went wrong. Please try again later."
 

Reason:
This is likely due to the user not having the necessary security roles assigned, specifically the System Administrator role, or missing required privileges for the environment.
 

Resolution:

  1. Ensure that the user has the System Administrator security role assigned in the Power Platform admin environment.
  2. Verify that the user has the necessary licenses to perform actions within the Power Pages environment.
  3. If the user is in a Developer environment, consider creating a new environment that is either Sandbox or Trial type, as Developer environments cannot be converted to Production.
