What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing errors when attempting to process payments through PayPal in Dynamics 365. The errors include "Failed status code: 'UnprocessableEntity'" and "Handler not implemented for the event received: msax-cc-amount."
 

Reason:

  • The error "Failed status code: 'UnprocessableEntity'" indicates that the payment instrument was either declined by the processor or bank, or it cannot be used for the payment.
  • The error "Handler not implemented for the event received: msax-cc-amount" suggests that there may be a configuration issue with the PayPal connector in the Dynamics 365 environment.

 

Resolution:
For the "UnprocessableEntity" error:

  1. Verify that the payment instrument being used is valid and has not been declined by the bank or processor.
  2. Ensure that the PayPal connector is correctly configured in the Dynamics 365 environment.
For the "Handler not implemented" error:
  1. Ensure that the PayPal connector is properly set up in the Dynamics 365 environment. Follow the setup instructions provided in the Dynamics 365 documentation for the PayPal connector.
  2. Check the configuration settings in Site Builder for the payment instrument modules, ensuring that the settings for Credit Card and PayPal are correct.
  3. After configuring the connectors, run the CDX 1070 job to synchronize the changes.
