What’s happening?
Customers encounter errors when attempting to install the Field Service solution in their environment, including messages indicating that the environment is not valid for Field Service.


Reason:
The environment may not be configured correctly for the Field Service solution, particularly if it is a Common Data Service (CDS) instance, which is not supported for installing the Field Service solution.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm Field Service licenses are available in the tenant
  2. Ensure the environment has an attached Dataverse data store and the setting "Enable Dynamics 365 apps" is turned on for the environment.
