What’s happening?
The customer reported an issue with populating latitude and longitude coordinates for service accounts in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service.
Reason:
For geocoding to work correctly, the street address must be valid. If the address is not valid, the geocoding will return zero or leave the field blank.
Resolution:
- Confirm automatic geocoding is enabled in Field Service settings
- Ensure the address information information on the service account is correct. Note: The geocoding process in Field Service uses only one street field (Street1). Additional information like apartment number in Street2 and Street3 is ignored.
