Applies to Product - Microsoft Copilot Studio

What’s happening?
The generative answer node is unable to consistently provide answers in specific languages, such as Burmese. Users have reported that while the answer can sometimes be given in the desired language, it may revert to another language at times.

Reason:
The underlying cause is that the specific language, such as Burmese, is not officially supported by the generative answer node in Microsoft Copilot Studio. As a result, there is no guarantee that the model will always output replies in that language. This inconsistency is by design.

Resolution:

  • A feature request has been created to support the specific language in Microsoft Copilot Studio and has been added to the backlog. However, there is currently no estimated time of arrival (ETA) for this feature.
  • Collaboration with the OpenAI team is ongoing to explore workarounds for connecting data to OpenAI for generative answers. However, issues have been encountered, such as network blocking on the customer side, which requires IP whitelisting for Copilot Studio.
  • If the generative answer node fails to provide information in the desired language, users are advised to check for any network issues or restrictions that may be affecting connectivity.
For further assistance or updates on the feature request, users are encouraged to follow up with support.
