What’s happening?
After connecting a custom domain to Power Pages, the API post to Dataverse is not functioning, resulting in a 403 error when attempting to submit data through the portal.
Reason:
This appears to be related to the use of a custom domain, which has led to the failure of the API post operation. The network traces indicate a 403 server error, and there are no logs captured in the internal tools to provide further insights.
Resolution:
- Verify that the custom domain satisfies the requirements as per Microsoft documentation Add a custom domain name | Microsoft Learn for adding a custom domain name.
- Check the permissions for the ewosa_webcase table and ensure that the necessary web roles are correctly configured.
- Disable the Web Application Firewall temporarily to see if it resolves this.
- If this persists, consider using the out-of-the-box domain (e.g., https://ewosa.powerappsportals.com/submit-a-complaint/) to determine if the problem is specific to the custom domain.
- If using the out-of-the-box domain works, further investigation into the custom domain configuration may be required.
- If the problem is not resolved, escalate this to the Product Group for deeper investigation.
