What’s happening?
Store was created with an operating unit classified as a department instead of a retail channel, preventing the configuration of assortments and store locators.
Reason:
The operating unit was incorrectly set up as a department, which is not suitable for retail operations.
The operating unit was incorrectly set up as a department, which is not suitable for retail operations.
Resolution:
To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Go to Retail and Commerce > Channels > Stores > All Stores.
2. Click New and fill in the required fields.
3. Click Save.
4. Run the 1070 job.
5. Go to All Stores and identify the recently created store.
6. Identify the operating unit number.
7. Navigate to Organization Administration > Organizations > Operating Units.
8. Delete the operating unit.
9. The system will automatically create another operating unit for the store with "Retail Channel" as the operating unit type instead of department.
Before deleting the operating unit, ensure the following:
- Verify that the business unit is not used in any hierarchy.
- Confirm that the business unit is not utilized in any financial dimensions.
- Ensure there are no workers or employees associated with the business unit.

1. Go to Retail and Commerce > Channels > Stores > All Stores.
