What’s happening?
Users are unable to access Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The issue affects users who encounter access problems despite having appropriate roles assigned and possessing necessary licenses.
 

Reason:
This is related to the flight '####FallbackTo{NAMEPII}OnOidFailureForUIFlow', which blocks the fallback to Security Identifier (SID) when an Object Identifier (OID) lookup fails, thereby causing authentication issues. Additionally, there may be duplicate Security Identifiers (SIDs) belonging to invalid users who have been disabled.
 

Resolution:

  • Disable the flight '####FallbackTo{NAMEPII}OnOidFailureForUIFlow' in the affected environment to allow fallback to SID when an OID lookup fails.
  • Delete the affected users and re-add them to the environment to regenerate the necessary identifiers.
  • Verify if the login issue persists after the above actions.
  • If the issue continues, check if the same issue occurs in the UAT environment.
  • Regularly check for duplicate Object IDs/Telemetry IDs in the Users list and delete any disabled users with duplicate entries.
