What’s happening?
During the export of data from Dynamics 365, customers have reported that the related field labels in the exported Excel files contain redundant tags, such as "Case Number (Service Case) (Case)," which are unnecessary and may cause confusion.


Reason:
This appears to be by design, as confirmed by the product team. The exported Excel files include the table names in parentheses, which cannot be hidden. This design choice leads to the appearance of multiple labels for related fields.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm with the customer that this is recognized and that the redundant labels are part of the current design.
  2. Explain to the customer that there are no plans to change this design, and the product team has confirmed that the behavior is consistent across all environments.
  3. If the customer requires further clarification or has additional questions, advise them to provide screenshots or specific examples of the issue for better understanding.
  4. Encourage the customer to share their feedback or suggestions on the IDEAS platform, where the product team collects user input for future improvements.
  5. If the customer agrees, proceed to archive the case, ensuring they know they can reopen it if further assistance is needed.
