What’s happening?
The customer is unable to update the GIT connection repository in their environment after changing the repository name in Azure DevOps.
Reason:
Currently, it is not possible to edit or update the source control configuration due to inherent dependencies that could potentially cause data issues or discrepancies. The GIT connection settings cannot be changed as they are linked by the repository name rather than the GUID.
Resolution:
- The recommended workaround is to rename the repository back to its original name.
- The engineering team is actively working on a new 'Disconnect' feature that will allow greater flexibility in managing configurations, which is expected to be rolled out in the future. Until then, the workaround of renaming the repository should be utilized.
