What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing a timeout error when attempting to upload related files in the "Suggest Topics" feature of Copilot Studio. This issue is specifically noted in the EU environment, while uploads function correctly in other environments.

Reason:
The underlying cause of this appears to be related to the backend configuration, specifically that the service SharePointSiteConfigurationController has not been enabled. Additionally, there are indications of memory limit errors occurring during the file upload process.

Resolution:

  • Verify if the SharePointSiteConfigurationController service is enabled in the backend configuration.
  • If the service is not enabled, take the necessary steps to enable it.
  • For users experiencing the timeout error, it is recommended to upgrade to the modern version of Copilot Studio to access enhanced features and support. Refer to the documentation for the upgrade process: "Upgrade to Copilot Studio unified authoring - Microsoft Copilot Studio."
  • If the issue persists, collect the following information for further investigation:
  • The URL of the browser when the error occurs.
  • Session details from the settings page in Copilot Studio.
  • Provide this information to the support team for further analysis and assistance.
