Customers are experiencing issues with their Power Pages websites crashing or displaying error messages when specific HTML tags, such as 'break' tags, are added to the Instructions section of multi-step forms. This appears to be related to the handling of HTML content in the website's configuration.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the addition of HTML 'break' tags in the Instructions section of a multi-step form within the Power Pages application. This unintended functionality leads to the website crashing or displaying error messages, particularly when the HTML content is modified.
Resolution:
- To resolve this, remove the problematic HTML 'break' tags from the Instructions section of the multi-step form.
- After removing the tags, verify that the website is functioning correctly and is back online.
