What’s happening?
The pay-as-you-go settings for applications in a specific environment unexpectedly turned off, preventing access for users without licenses.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the default settings for the pay-as-you-go configuration in the environment, which may have changed without notice.
Resolution:
- To ensure that the pay-as-you-go settings are enabled for all applications in the environment, verify the following:
- Check the configuration settings in the Power Platform admin center to confirm that the target environment is linked to the appropriate billing plan.
- If the pay-as-you-go setting is off, it can be enabled by:
- Editing the billing policy in the Power Platform admin center and ensuring the environment is included in the billing policy.
- Removing the environment from the billing policy will exclude all applications in that environment from the pay-as-you-go model.
