What’s happening?
Customers are seeking assistance to enable the Pay As You Go (PAYG) setting for their environments and link their Azure subscription with a Power Platform environment.
 

Reason:
The underlying cause for this is the need to create a Pay-As-You-Go plan and link it to an environment, which may not be clearly outlined in the existing documentation or user interface.
 

Resolution:

  1. Follow the steps outlined in the guide to set up a Pay-As-You-Go plan for Power Platform.
  2. To link an existing environment to the Pay-As-You-Go plan:
    • Navigate to the Power Platform Admin Center.
    • Go to the Plans section.
    • Select the existing Pay-As-You-Go plan.
    • Choose the option to add or remove environments.
    • Note that there may not be a visible toggle button on the environment's properties page to confirm that the PAYG plan has been enabled after linking.
    • If an environment linked to the Pay-As-You-Go plan is deleted, it will not automatically be removed from the plan; users must manually remove the deleted environment from the plan.
  3. For any feature requests or feedback regarding the process, customers are encouraged to submit their requests through the Ideas portal, as support cannot submit these on behalf of customers.
