Applies to Product - Power Pages

What’s happening?
Customers inquired about the licensing requirements for using Power Pages, specifically regarding the ability to share Power Pages with a large number of users, including those without mailboxes.

Reason:
The inquiries were related to the capacity-based licensing model of Power Pages, which offers different types of licenses based on user types, including authenticated and anonymous users.

Resolution:

  • Power Pages licensing is capacity-based and offers two types of capacities based on user type:
    • Authenticated Users: A subscription license can be purchased for the anticipated number of unique authenticated users accessing a website during a month. There is also a pay-as-you-go meter for authenticated users, allowing customers to pay based on the actual number of unique authenticated users who accessed the website in a month.
    • Anonymous Users: A monthly capacity subscription license can be purchased for the anticipated number of unique anonymous users accessing a website in a month. A pay-as-you-go meter is also available for anonymous users, enabling customers to pay based on the actual number of anonymous users who accessed the website in a month.
  • It is important to allocate licenses based on the number of users accessing the site. For example, if five internal users are expected to access the site, only five licenses need to be allocated.
