What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing long execution times for Data Management Framework (DMF) jobs in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

Reason:
The underlying cause of the long execution times may be related to the status changes of batch jobs, which can delay the start of import jobs. There have been no performance issues or high loads identified in the server logs during the specified time frames.

Resolution:

  • Check the priority reservation capacity and batch concurrency settings based on the provided documentation.
  • Review the batch group settings to ensure that the maximum concurrent execution settings for the relevant batch jobs are configured correctly. The maximum concurrent executions are typically calculated as the number of servers multiplied by the number of threads.
  • Confirm the execution ID of the job that is experiencing delays and provide this information for further investigation.
