What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties connecting to the Power Automate On-Premises Data Gateway. The gateway does not appear in the expected environment, even though the same connector functions successfully in other applications.

Reason:
This is typically caused by a mismatch between the region of the Power Automate environment and the region where the gateway was installed. Gateways are environment-specific, and if installed in a different region, they will not be visible or usable in the intended environment

Resolution:

  1. Verify Environment and Gateway Region Alignment
    • Sign in to the https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com.
    • Confirm the region of your Power Automate environment.
    • On the machine hosting the gateway, open the On-Premises Data Gateway app and sign in.
    • Check the region listed on the Status page.
    • If the regions do not match, the gateway will not appear in the environment
  2. Reinstall the Gateway in the Correct Region
    • Go to Add or Remove Programs on the gateway host machine.
    • Select On-premises Data Gateway and uninstall it.
    • Download the latest installer from Install an on-premises data gateway.
    • During installation, select Change Region and choose the region that matches your Power Automate environment.
    • Complete the installation and sign in with the appropriate credentials.
    • After setup, verify that the gateway appears in the Power Automate portal under Data > Gateways
  3. Test and Validate
    • After installation, test the connection from your Power Automate flow.
    • Ensure that the gateway is listed and selectable in the correct environment.
    • Validate that the flow can connect to the required on-premises data source
