What’s happening?
When attempting to activate a Power Pages site, users encounter an error indicating that the maximum limit of portals in the tenant has been reached. This arises when the number of active trial portals exceeds the allowed limit.


Reason:
The underlying cause of this is the backend limit set for trial portals in the tenant. By default, there is a limit of 10 trial portals per tenant. If this limit is reached, any attempts to create or reactivate additional trial portals will result in an error.


Resolution:

  • To resolve this, users can either:
  • Convert one of the existing trial Power Pages to a production portal, which will free up a slot for activation.
  • Delete any unused trial portals to create space for new activations.
  • If there is a valid business requirement, support can assist in increasing the tenant limit from the backend.
