What’s happening?
A user with a specific role is unable to change the publishing status of a page in the web page table, despite having been granted all necessary permissions.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to the role's permissions and the inability to modify the status from the specified role.
Resolution:
- Open the Portal Management app.
- Navigate to Websites, opened the needed Website record > Related Publishing State Transition.
- To create a new rule, select "New." To edit an existing rule, select the rule name.
- In the Publishing State Transition window, enter appropriate values in the fields.
- Select "Save" to continue adding web roles to it.
- On the Web Roles tab, select "Add Existing Web Role." In the Lookup pane, browse and add the appropriate web role.
- Select "Save" to finalize the changes.
