What’s happening?
The customer is unable to sync files from a SharePoint site to a web portal because the desired folder is missing from the folder selection list.
Reason:
The integration between SharePoint and the web portal does not automatically create a corresponding table in the Dynamics system when a library (folder) is created in SharePoint. The synchronization relationship is one-way, meaning files added to SharePoint will sync to the enabled integration Dynamics entity, but the entity must be created in Dataverse first.
Resolution:
- Confirm that the entity has been created in Dynamics.
- Ensure that SharePoint integration is enabled for the created entity in Dataverse.
- Note that creating a library (folder) in SharePoint will not automatically add it to the selection list in the web portal.
- Understand that documents will only display at the SharePoint site level, and there is no hierarchy for folders in this integration.
