What’s happening?
The customer is unable to sync files from a SharePoint site to a web portal because the desired folder is missing from the folder selection list.


Reason:
The integration between SharePoint and the web portal does not automatically create a corresponding table in the Dynamics system when a library (folder) is created in SharePoint. The synchronization relationship is one-way, meaning files added to SharePoint will sync to the enabled integration Dynamics entity, but the entity must be created in Dataverse first.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm that the entity has been created in Dynamics.
  2. Ensure that SharePoint integration is enabled for the created entity in Dataverse.
  3. Note that creating a library (folder) in SharePoint will not automatically add it to the selection list in the web portal.
  4. Understand that documents will only display at the SharePoint site level, and there is no hierarchy for folders in this integration.
