What’s happening?
Workflow connections in Power Automate are failing.
Reason:
Connection issues may be caused by a combination of DLP policy configuration, user permissions, or authentication settings (such as Multi-Factor Authentication).
Resolution:
- Verify DLP policy configuration:
- Open the Power Platform admin center.
- Navigate to Data policies and select the policy applied to the affected environment.
- Confirm that required connectors (e.g., Microsoft Teams or Outlook) are allowed and categorized appropriately (Business or Non-Business) for the workflow scenario.
- Check user permissions and access:
- Ensure the user has sufficient permissions to access the connectors involved in the flow.
- If connector access is environment-restricted, make sure the user is working within the correct environment.
- Review authentication settings:
- If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for the user’s account, try signing in again to refresh the authentication token.
- In some cases, MFA configuration may interfere with connector sign-in. If applicable, review and adjust MFA settings according to your organization's security policies.
- Recreate the workflow (optional):
- If the issue persists, try recreating the flow from scratch. This can help rule out problems introduced during the original flow’s creation.
- If you're still experiencing issues, capture a HAR file and relevant sign-in logs while reproducing the connection error. These logs can help Microsoft support investigate further if needed.
