The customer inquired about the availability of the receipt capturing OCR feature under the expense application, specifically questioning its support in certain regions.
Reason:
The OCR function is currently not supported in the specified regions, including HKG (Hong Kong) and CHN (China). The product group is in the process of expanding the OCR add-in to additional regions, but specific timelines and technical considerations are still being addressed.
Resolution:
The OCR function is not supported in the specified regions based on the documentation: Capture a receipt using OCR | Microsoft Learn.
The product group is expanding the OCR add-in for regions such as AU, CX, CC, NF, IT, ES, PL, CA, GB, and US, with plans to include more regions in the future. However, the exact estimated time of arrival (ETA) for these updates is not yet available.
